Dr. Francis Florez

Dr. Florez specializes in hip and knee
reconstruction. He completed a fellowship in Joint Replacement
and Adult Reconstruction at the University Hospitals of
Cleveland. He completed his internship and orthopaedic surgery
residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He received his
M.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of
Medicine and his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins
University, Baltimore, Maryland. He is certified in orthopaedic
surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Florez is a leader in the Cincinnati area for
minimally invasive hip and knee operative procedures. One and
two incision minimally invasive hip replacements are new
procedures designed to improve early function of patients
undergoing total hip replacements. Also minimally invasive knee
procedures such as unispacer and hemiarthroplasty of the knee
are less aggressive surgical alternatives to knee arthritis.
He is a member of the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati,
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American College of
Surgeons, American Medical Association, Cincinnati Orthopaedic
Club, Mid-American Orthopaedic Society, Ohio State Medical
Association, and Ohio State Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Florez was a four-year high school and four-year NCAA
swimming All American and was recently elected to St. Xavier
High School's Sports Hall of Fame. He is active in numerous
swimming groups. He is also the team physician for the Mt.
Healthy High School football team.
