Dr. Pamela J. Petrocy

Freiberg Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is proud to introduce Cincinnati’s
newest female orthopaedic surgeon...Pamela J. Petrocy, MD . Though she grew up in New Jersey,
Dr. Petrocy is very familiar with the Tri-State. She completed her undergraduate degree in exercise
physiology at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, then went on to Ohio State where she received her MD.
Following a research fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans, Dr. Petrocy
fulfilled her residency in orthopaedics at Tulane’s Charity Hospital.
At Freiberg, her orthopaedic focus will include ACL treatment and total joint replacement of
hips and knees. “As a former athlete myself, I’ve always been interested in sports,” she says.
“I also work with active women who may not consider themselves athletes, yet don’t want an injured
knee or other joint to slow them down.” Dr. Petrocy emphasizes a goal-oriented treatment plan for all
her patients.
She and her husband have recently relocated here from New Orleans and are enjoying
their new home.

Dr.
Petrocy's Philosophy of Care
“There’s no reason to suffer in silence,” says Dr. Petrocy. “If you have a nagging little injury, check with your family doctor. There are many things that can be done early, and fairly easily, to get you back to full function and a pain-free existence. I look forward to serving my new community in Cincinnati.”
