Dr. David Greenfield
Dr. Greenfield practices general
orthopaedics with a specialty in pediatric orthopaedics and the
treatment of scoliosis. He completed a two-year medical research
program at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda,
Maryland. He completed his internship and residency in
orthopaedic surgery at the University Hospitals in Cleveland,
Ohio. He received his M.D. from the State of New York Upstate
Medical Center (Syracuse), at which he was
a member of the American Orthopaedic Association honor society.
He completed his undergraduate work at the University of
Rochester.
He is certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of
Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Greenfield is an active member of the community of
physicians who mentor future generations of orthopaedic
surgeons. He has served as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic
Surgery at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Presently, he
serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery
at the University of Cincinnati. He serves as the Director of
the Foot Deformity Clinic and as an Attending Physician in the
Cerebral Palsy Clinic at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
He is a member of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and
Developmental Medicine, the American Academy of Orthopaedic
Surgeons, the American College of Physician Executives, the
American Medical Association, the Cincinnati Academy of
Medicine, the Queen City Orthopaedic Club, and the Ohio State
Medical Association.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Greenfield has served
as the Managing Partner of Freiberg Orthopaedics since 1995. He
serves as the Medical Director of 3-HAB, a workers’ compensation
managed care organization. He is the current chairman of the
State Committee of Workers’ Compensation Medical Directors.
Dr. Greenfield has published many articles in the field of
orthopaedics.
