Dr. Craig Willis

Dr. Willis specializes in surgery of the Hand and Upper
Extremity. He has been fellowship-trained at the Hand Center of
Western New York in the treatment of injury, disease, and
deformity of the
hand and upper extremity. He completed residency-training in
General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of
Michigan Medical Center. Dr. Willis received his M.D. from the
University of Michigan. He graduated with honors from the
University of Wisconsin, earning a BS in zoology.
Dr. Willis serves as a member of the community of physicians who
mentor future generations of orthopaedic surgeons. He has served
as a full-time member of the faculty at the University of
Michigan in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Willis has performed research in several sub-disciplines
within orthopaedic surgery. He has published articles and
written chapters for textbooks on the topic of hand and upper
extremity surgery. He has presented original research at
regional, national, and international meetings. Among his
presentations were those for the American Society for Surgery of
the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery -
Orthopaedic Research Society, and the Michigan Orthopaedic
Society.
Dr. Willis is an active member of the American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgery, the American Medical Association, and a
Candidate Member of the American Society for Surgery of the
Hand. He is Board-Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery. He is
licensed to practice medicine in the states of Ohio, New York,
and Michigan. |
